Belfast Maritime Festival 2023

Belfast Lough Sailability was delighted to be invited by Belfast City Council to participate in the Belfast Maritime Festival on 9th & 10th September at the Abercorn Basin. The weather was spectacular which made the on the water trips and activities even more fun. Our three Hawk 20’s, Alexander, Arica and Tamarind, supported by our safety rib Doug Smyth, provided taster sessions on the River Lagan and Abercorn Basin for many who had never had the opportunity to get afloat before.

For the more adventurous, our motor launch Rosy, alongside our wheel chair accessible motor launch Searover, provided educational river tours along the river, identifying notable sites and providing interesting facts and occurrences.

Thanks to our fantastic band of trusty volunteers, we were delighted to facilitate nearly 500 people getting afloat over the weekend with all boats working to capacity. It was a real pleasure to see so many people showing an interest in getting afloat and enjoying our various boats at the event. Everyone came back from their trip with a smile. What more could we ask for? We all had a fantastic weekend at a very successful Belfast Maritime Event – Thank You Belfast.
