Our Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland supported 2016 Summer Scheme at Carrickfergus between 18 and 22 July will offer free of charge fully accessible sailing and motor boat handling sessions on Belfast Lough to people living with disabilities, and create volunteering opportunities – including for those working towards the Duke of Edinburgh and President’s Award Schemes. Sailing experience is not a prerequisite.
The Scheme will cater for group or individual bookings. Expressions of interest are requested as places are limited to availability.
Morning and afternoon session times available: 10.30am – 1pm & 2pm – 4.30pm
When? – Monday 18 July to Friday 22 July inclusive.

The Belfast Lough Sailability Summer Scheme is supported by Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland, with a funding portion used in evaluating the health and well-being benefits of such activities, and also to offer an opportunity for sailors living with disabilities to get started on the competitive sailing Paralympic Pathway.
