BLS wins Disability Sport NI’s ‘Inclusive Club Award’

We are very proud to have been presented with the Inclusive Club Award for disability clubs by Disability Sport NI.

It’s wonderful to have been recognised as a sports club that positively includes people with disabilities. Nominations were open to both mainstream and disability sports clubs who have made noteworthy improvements or introduced innovative programmes to include people with disabilities in the last twelve months. Try-a-Boat!

Our annual Try-a-Boat day is Saturday 21st May when it’s Open House, or rather Open Boat, at Carrickfergus Harbour from 1pm to 3pm. Along with Carrickfergus Sailing Club and Carrickfergus Sea Cadets, BLS will be offering an open session to the general public to ‘Try a Boat’, which could be anything from a kayak through all manner of sailing boats to a power cruiser.
